The New A2 Series

For your areas of application, we offer a range from the new fire-resistant product series

Architecture

GLASS SILICON A2-AC

The A2 fire class is required, for example, when halls, tents, or temporary structures are to be attached to an existing building. This helps prevent fire spread/flashover in an emergency.

In public buildings with high footfall—such as airports, train stations, museums, administrative and government buildings, correctional facilities, hospitals, nursing and retirement homes, hotels, and sports arenas—enhanced fire protection is needed not only in escape routes but also on walls and ceilings.

Non-combustible glass fabrics create a visually and design-driven, highly appealing atmosphere and can significantly improve the indoor climate through targeted solar shading and sound-absorbing (acoustic) properties.

With digital printing, surfaces can be designed and branded without limits.

GLASS SILICON A2

The non-combustible GLASS SILICON tarpaulin is so robust, waterproof, and crease-resistant that it withstands highly demanding operating conditions. Temperatures of +230 °C or −40 °C are tolerated without damage. This allows hot goods to be protected and transported. When these goods are processed hot, energy costs can be significantly reduced.

Whether as a fire-resistant roll-up curtain for transport/shipping containers, or as protective covers/hoods (shrouds) for machines, raw materials, and components—GLASS SILICON A2 can be used indoors and outdoors. Its resistance to kinks/folds makes it a true tarpaulin alternative.

Through the A2 fire resistance class, the glass silicone series is also suitable as a non-combustible top layer / PV fire protection, for example for photovoltaic (PV) systems.

Talk to your insurer. The enhanced fire protection with GLASS SILICON A2 helps with the containment and encapsulation of fire sources.

STRONG GLASS SILICON A2

For very demanding applications, the STRONG GLASS SILICON A2 fabric was developed. Its sturdy glass fiber core ensures even higher puncture resistance while remaining highly flexible. The special coating prevents fraying. Whether exposed to spark spray or extreme temperatures—your goods remain protected.

The fact that such a robust material is fire-resistant, tested and certified according to EU standard EN 13501-1, makes it unique and opens up new possibilities for your products.
